“So how was your weekend?”
“It was nice. A break from work is always good.”
“Anything interesting or out of the ordinary?”
“Oh, not really. The usual: yoga, movies, pizza, ya’ know. How about you . . . ?”
“So how was your weekend?”
“It was nice. A break from work is always good.”
“Anything interesting or out of the ordinary?”
“Sort of. I spent the entire weekend—Friday night, all-day Saturday, a good portion of Sunday—making 200 treat bags for work and then hand-writing tags for each of them. Basically it was a weekend of writer’s cramp and nearly going cross-eyed, really a weekend of self-inflicted pain. How about you . . . ?”
The Christmas candy aisle at Target is in need of restocking this weekend. They’re out quite a bit of Christmas-colored Junior Mints, Christmas tree nougats, Christmas M&Ms Minis, candy cane Tootsie Roll Pops, peppermint salt-water taffy, red and white candy canes, red and green candy canes, small Christmas Jelly Belly boxes, candy cane Andes Mints, Ghiradelli peppermint bark chocolates, Choxie milk and dark chocolate tiny truffles, Choxie exotic truffle bars, individually wrapped white chocolate-dipped ginger snaps, individually wrapped white chocolate-dipped oatmeal sandwich cookies, and Snickers peanut butter Santa chocolates.
Rather than sitting expectantly on the shelves of the scarier-than-many-others Target on Prater Way, these sweets and treats are now nestled in ribbon-clad cello sacks tagged with my happiest holiday wishes.

You are nuts. Nuts. Wonderfully thoughtful but nuts. My question is how much was the target bill?
yes you are nuts but wow I am impressed... Drug reps at my office are never that cool... What types of offices do you visit?
Never you mind the Target bill . . . I didn't know you worked at a doctor's office. What kind?
Holy Moly! That does not look like fun! But you gotta do what you gotta do right? Dang, you have some good self control. I am pretty sure I would have just rolled around in the stuff and eaten it all. Like Homer Simpson.
I like Meri's comment, funny girl. You are unbelievable. Not in an admirable way, but more in a crazy way.
In an oncology office...
