¡IDIOTA!

I am an idiot.

I have a fun lil' road trip scheduled for tomorrow. So for the sake of entertainment and company I wanted me a new audio book. (The perfect road-trip companions: Thai curry cashews, Silk chocolate soymilk, black Panda licorice, my phone, a pony-tail holder, flip-flops, and an audio book rife with suspense, intertwined with intrigue, and peppered with gratuitous violence.)

Because I'm greedy, I got not one but two audio companions, together totaling 34 hours of listening. (It would make you car sick to learn just how fast I'll go through those books; I have a very close and personal relationship with my auto.)

The first book: the newest Vince Flynn. Mitch Rapp will keep me plenty engaged and alert as he does things like lop of corpses' genitalia and fling the whatnot at detainees with sealed lips.

The second: Angels and Demons. It's been years since I've listened to Dan Brown's initial Langdon tale. I remember liking it. And I can't seem to locate my copy on disc(s). So thank-you Audible: I obtained a new one.

In preparation for my trip I set aside some cashews, soymilk, licorice and grapes, downloaded my new books and went about dragging and dropping them onto my beloved iPod . . .

It was then that I realized that I wasted a precious Audible credit on Angels & Demons in Spanish.

Maybe you can pull a John H. Groberg ala Eye of the Storm and learn to speak it...maybe not.

My first reaction to this post is: "Whoa. Don't party too hard! Panda licorice and soy milk..." What ever happened to Dr. Pepper and peanut butter cups? Tis the season of the organic health nuts.

Megan, Panda is simply the tastiest licorice. Kookaburra competes but loses most days. And I sure do love me some peanut butter cups, but they are NOT good traveling companions, for the enlarge my rump.
