TACTLESS BRAGGING

Hey, so did you hear the rumors? Read the news?

Turns out Apple drastically--tragically, really--underestimated the demand for this new iPhone of theirs. Huh, they said to themselves, Who knew all our psycho fans would wait up all night to be able to reserve their very own phone just as soon as our online reservation system launches?

Yeah, who knew? Right.

Complete stupidity or genius marketing ploy? You decide.

Anyhow, you know where I'm going with this, don't you?

Because my husband is molded of the kind of sweetness other wives would pay good money for, I had a reservation.

And now--I have the phone.

Uh huh, I'm boasting. It's not a nice thing. It's a sinful thing. Yet as I brag I realize that I'm incredibly spoiled and I've done not a single thing to deserve it.

So I'm bragging, but I'm mitigating the soul-blackening weight of said socially rotten sin through my extreme gratitude.

Get this: If I didn't want to start loving up this baby right now I could sell the thing for . . . wait for it . . . $1,200 on eBay.

I am so not kidding, Dear Reader.

Oh, and it's awesome, by the way. The stunning high def screen alone makes my beloved 3GS look like an antique. There goes my restful night of catching Zs. Instead I'll lay in my bed entranced by the pretty colors and such. And such.

My friend recently sold his first generation iPhone on ebay....I was astonished at the price people paid for it seeing as how the 3Gs was available.

Enjoy your new toy.
