STUPID, FREAKING SNOW

The thought and sight of snow reduces me to a petulant, whiny brat. Why me? Why this? Hey, this stuff is cold! It makes me think the sky (and its Creator) is just mean spirited. So with that, we chose to live in Las Vegas, where the summer is insufferable, but serves as a reminder that in Sin City we won’t see snow.

Enter my career and the requisite relocation to Northern Nevada where there is snow. So much snow in some places (see “Lake Tahoe”) that Northern Nevada serves as a destination for snowboarders and skiers (see “fools”). Appearing twice on the con side of my pro and con list regarding the relocation, the white stuff of winter weather was a huge deterrent for the move to Sparks. Evidently, the pros beat out the cons, cause, well, here we are. On my drive to Utah this last weekend I encountered my first hit of the satanic stuff (were Hell to freeze over, that is, I guess). I take no issue with confessing that I took the photos from inside the car.

The sight of the stuff sent me straight to the internet to purchase a couple coats. After another pair of leather boots, I anticipate my attitude about all this will improve significantly.
