My answer: Green. Two shades: limey chartreuse and vomity avocado. The Husband says that I was born in the wrong era because I've decorated the house with harvest gold and avocado accents in some places. There are even a pair of harvest gold chairs in the front room. Same color as the stove my parents had years ago. I also like such shades to wear. Avocado, mustard--it's like I'm wearing someone's lunch.

I don't believe in favorites....especially in regards to colors. Chocolate brown, jade green, mustard yellow, azure (because I like to say it), burnt orange, rusty red, and violet. Maybe I should just say clear since it provides the entire light spectrum that makes colors....
I love color! It is most of what drives my fabrics addiction. Which is part of the reason I make and sell handbags. A big part of the thrill of creation comes from pairing my fabrics.
I tend to be drawn by colors that are fully saturated both for wearing and sewing.
Jewel tones suit me best for wearing thanks to my dark hair and eyes and olive skin.
But my favorite colors are and have been since I was a little girl, pink and purple. I know exactly how unoriginal and girly that sounds and it makes my last sphincter tighten to say it out loud. I even considered lying and saying something much more hip, like Emerald Green. But like the Indigo Girls "I never was cool, What makes me think I could start clean slated, The hardest to learn was the least complicated."
I have no idea why I am typing out lyrics to a favorite Indigo Girls song in this response. Maybe this is a good time to close. I might need another cup of Earl Gray this morning, and now I am rambling again. Goodbye!
I'm a sucker for blue. Any shade. But green has been great lately, too.
Red is my favorite. For a long time I didn't wear colors very regularly. Mostly just neutrals. Then a friend put me on a color diet and now I love to wear colors.
Mine is green, too. :) It's my power color!
Gold. Bright, shiny gold.
Puke green, like you, but also nearly every shade of green or blue.
Orange. There's really no other color that comes close to providing the same amount of happiness as orange does. I'll take it in any shade, in almost any application. I typically don't wear it, but I'm constantly over-accessorizing with it.
Earth tones...browns, blues, and greens. They are soothing. My least favorite color? Red. It stresses me out.
Moi aussi. I would also add celery (my ankle-length LL Bean parka is celery), and kelly green.

red. and no other. I'm slightly addicted to it. can't avoid it.....it makes me salivate & my heart beat faster when I see something red to wear or to decorate my home. I gave up the red kitchen (i had two), and went with an unlikely, cheerful yellow in my kitchen, and I really like it. and of course, it goes perfectly with all my little red accents....lol.
You and I share in the love of colors. I have to add to the two you and I love a little mustard yellow. Those are my top three for sure.
Yellow. Because it's the color of sunshine. And happiness. And lemons. And bananas.
Gray. Isn't that boring? But everything looks good with gray. Especially my complexion. (My current fave is icy gray and lemon yellow, or a really good gray/fuscia punch). If it's cute and it comes in gray, it's MINE. Then I buy colorful accessories and blammo, dressed.
Violet, lavender, aubergine, orchid, pansy and purple.
Why is rookie trying to be trendy with those fancy colors? Lame.
Not everyone's got it innately, Kittles.
Definitely purple. I love every shade of it.
Red.
As in a gorgeous, deep, catch-me-do-me blue-red lipstick. You know...the perfect cherry lips on Technicolor starlets? Or the I'm Not Really a Waitress nail polish. Or the perfect pair of shiny red heels.
It's best done in pops here and there, though. I can't do a red room; too violent-feeling.
I love the words you all are using to describe the colors. Your descriptions are as vibrant as the colors themselves
PURPLE. A dark, plum color. Gorgeous.
